Membrane sweep lost mucus plug

With my first I lost the mucus plug around 39weeks and nothing happened for a while. I had some blood when the did a strech n sweep of my membranes but nothing significant. I finally went into labour 10 days after my due date. I didn't get the bloody show till I was well into labour (close to 7 cms before they broke).
