May 18, 2009. #3. Re: 15 hp gamefisher lower unit. It turned out to be a shift linkage problem. The linkage connection bolt wasn't tight so when I would shift in forward it would slip. Same with reverse, and that's why It would either freeze in forward, or neutral and wouldn't shift out of it. I adjusted it, and tightened it, and it works fine now.15 HP. I looked at the part on searsparts online and the primer bulb is avaible but is like $24.00 and it appears to have the same hole as mine.
