If we hire another 500 this year and 2000 next year (which seems correct) we will have about 7000 pilots already at AA that have 20+ years before retirement. There are currently over 5000 pilots under the age of 45 at AA. With 7000 pilots in front of you for the next 20 years, things will start to slow down in terms of upgrades and things.The market for pilots was a buyer's market during the pandemic.
